Enrico "Tarzan" Annoni arrived at Celtic from Roma in 1997, in the dying days of the Tommy Burns era. A defender of immense effort and an enthusiastic line in tackles that occasionally left both himself and the ball some distance from the opposing forward.
He was a cult hero. Supporters sang his name. They forgave his mistakes. When a substitution board went up and his number came off, the wail "aw naw, no Annoni" became a small piece of late-nineties Celtic folklore.
The supporters remembered him in a way they did not remember several better players.
The design captures the chant. A piece of nineties affection.
